Today is January 2, 2022, yes, it's already a new year, so this issue is both a summary of December 2021 and a summary of the entire year of 2021, making it a very special issue. In theory, an annual summary should be longer, but unfortunately, my writing ability is limited, so the word count is not much different from previous issues...
During the final exams last month, basketball and theoretical mechanics came to an end. Despite not being very athletic, I surprisingly did well in basketball, but the failure rate in theoretical mechanics was a bit high. However, I passed, thanks to the solid foundation laid during my high school physics competition days. Today I took the physics experiment exam, the day after tomorrow is physics, followed by electrical technology and political theory. The results will only be known next month. The English CET-6 exam is also completed, and the results are yet to be known. Following tradition, there were many jokes on social media platforms after the exam, which brought some laughter for a few days. On Christmas Day 2021, I received a gift from my sister, but I feel ashamed that I didn't give her a gift... I actually hope not to receive anything—it's a strange thought, I don't know why, but I find it hard to feel or convey the emotions behind material giving and receiving.
On the last day of 2021, I spent time with wx, wwz, and wwz's classmates. One of wwz's classmates (I still don't know their name...) said I look like an old tomato and a carefree wanderer (??). We went out for hotpot (although the expenses on the way were a bit high...), and then attempted to go to KTV, but it was too crowded and late, so we couldn't make it. Nevertheless, it was a fulfilling day. At the moment of New Year's Eve at the school gate, I hadn't watched the Bilibili New Year's Eve Gala yet, so I'll catch the replay when I have time. The high school class group was briefly active, with a few red envelopes, but I didn't grab any (feeling like I'm detached from worldly desires = =).
Looking back at 2021, the summaries started in April, stemming from the counselor's request to write a monthly summary. Although the request was no longer there, I continued this habit, and including this issue, there have been a total of 9 issues, covering nearly 9 months of summaries. Upon flipping through them, although the text is not extensive, the density of information conveyed is not high, but they were all written by me, and rereading them allows me to relive the emotions of that time, making it a good habit. In 2021, there were joys and disappointments, but throughout these 9 months of summaries, I have never given up on having and conveying one thing—hope. I am grateful to my friends, teachers, family, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Adler, Marx, and Wang Xiaobo for providing me with help and the strength to keep moving forward. In 2022, I hope to continue writing, and I hope to never give up hope at any time. Thus, 2021 has become a chapter of the past. ☃️
