As usual, let's start by introducing the holidays in January, and it's no surprise that we're talking about New Year's Day. "Yuan" means "beginning," and any beginning of a number is called "yuan"; "Dan" means "day"; "New Year's Day" means "the beginning day." In Chinese history, "January 1st" has many names, such as New Year's Day, New Day, New Zheng, New Chen, New Spring, Shang Ri, and Yuan Shuo, but among these names, "New Year's Day" is the most common and enduring. Compared to the Spring Festival, New Year's Day is a Gregorian calendar holiday with relatively fewer celebration activities.
Looking back on the past month, I spent most of my time at school. I went home on the 18th, which was supposed to be earlier, but unfortunately, the first flight was canceled (why "again"?), so it was postponed for a few days, becoming the last one to leave the dorm. I completed about three or four final exams, and the others were postponed to the next semester. The holiday seemed to come too suddenly, and I'm not sure what happened that night, but I was rushed home, so this winter break turned into a summer break in length. Reflecting on the summary of December 2021, I found that the content written then was more abundant, making me realize that 2021 wasn't as bad as I thought. In 2022, it seems like I didn't travel much. They say that either the body or the soul is always on the road, but it seems like I didn't read many books either. The best anime of the year goes to "Solitary Rock," it's truly divine, and there might not be such a good anime for several years. I didn't watch the New Year's Eve special program on Bilibili, actually, I watched a bit, but I found it meaningless and stopped. I exchanged New Year greetings with old friends, sqy, cst, cxy, zd, wyz, familiar names that will continue to be familiar in the future.
