It is now the evening of January 5, 2024, and 2023 has just become history. Looking back over the past year, I subjectively feel that time has generally accelerated, with both fast and slow moments; my studies and life have progressed steadily; at the same time, there are also some things that remain unchanged. As Mr. Lu Xun said, "One tree is a jujube tree, and the other tree is also a jujube tree." A year's time can change many things, but it may not change the situation of two identical jujube trees.
At the end of December, I caught the flu and suffered from a high fever for several days, but I finally recovered before meeting Bao. The five days from December 28 to January 2 were a shining moment in my year and beyond. I always have a great time playing with Bao, although sometimes I might make Bao unhappy (like when I disobey and look at Bao's phone), but I also promptly admit my mistakes and comfort Bao, which leaves a deep impression, making me hesitant to repeat the same mistakes. I gave Bao a bouquet of roses, and Bao gave me a water cup and a scarf (I finally have a scarf again qwq), and we both liked each other's gifts very much. We also went city walking together, had meals together, attended classes together, celebrated New Year's together, watched movies together (emm although the movie was quite different from what I imagined...), and together *** (this content is not suitable for display). The May Day holiday was also spent with Bao (see the summary of April 2023 for details), and at the end of June, Bao came to Wuhan to visit (see the summary of June 2023 for details). One summer and one winter, the seasons change, from dawn to dusk, yet it brings a refreshing joy.
The first half of this semester was spent worrying about my studies and whether I could continue my education. In the second half of the semester, I learned that the number of spots for graduate school recommendations had greatly increased, and I was fortunate to be among them, at least allowing me to continue my studies, which made me happy for several days. I took the opportunity to participate in a heat treatment competition to travel to Zhenjiang (see the summary of July 2023 for details). During the summer vacation, there was a severe drought at home, and I spent time with old friends intermittently. After that, I probably idled away two months, and in October, I traveled to Yunnan with my roommates next door, where I celebrated my 22nd birthday (see the summary of October 2023 for details).
Looking back, in the past year, I visited many places, saw different landscapes, and experienced various human experiences. There was boredom as well as fulfillment, sadness as well as joy. I had a fever twice and realized the importance of health. Once upon a time, I also endured the spring and autumn, longing to grow up, but now I can only sigh at the fleeting years, which cannot be chased back. Picking flowers in the morning and recalling them in the evening, there is a certain pleasure in the rush; quietly observing the sun and moon, one can cultivate composure amidst gains and losses. Everything in the world is like a dream or an illusion. Before I knew it, the old year had ended, and the new year had arrived. The old has its silence, and the new brings new expectations. May we, in the poetic fireworks of the world, shine brightly every day and have something to look forward to every year; may I love and be loved by those who embrace time slowly, welcoming peace and safety, and may we encounter all the beauty, tranquility and warmth, peace and sweetness in the days to come, and that would be enough. 🎇
