It is now the evening of June 9, Sunday. Yesterday's cycling around East Lake left me feeling weak in my limbs, so today I plan to take a day to rest. Tomorrow is the Dragon Boat Festival, and I have no special plans; if I can finish printing my graduation thesis, that would be a significant achievement.
Since returning to school from Xian Ning's Country Garden in May, I have been occupied with graduation-related matters for most of the time, which led to a brief period of feeling down. Then, one late night, I had a heart-to-heart talk with my partner, resolving some of our confusions, and I felt less down afterward. The daily writing, revising of the thesis, and long hours in the office seemed rather monotonous. I tried to change things up by eating at different cafeterias or going out for meals, and I also relaxed at KTV a few times to make the days less dull, but the overall monotony of May was not easy to change. Things began to change at the end of the month.
At the end of May (specifically on May 31), after my partner and I finished our graduation defense, we seized a brief opportunity for travel, so we decided to spend two and a half happy days in Wangxian Valley. However, the weather there was not as cheerful, as it rained continuously. On the first night, after arriving at the guesthouse with my partner, I couldn't hold back and confessed my feelings a few hours later, officially establishing our relationship. I had originally planned to do this on June 1, but since the decision was in our hands, we both agreed that our anniversary would still be June 1. After that, we explored Wangxian Valley in the rain; the scenery was incredibly beautiful, and the villages in the valley had a lively atmosphere. Unfortunately, I lost our umbrella, which meant we had to get soaked until the end qwq. We returned to the city separately on the afternoon of the third day; although it was brief, it left a deep impression. The memory of this experience will surely leave a deeper mark in my mind than other memories (this sentence may not be elegantly written, but it is very sincere). In the future, on some day when I revisit this memory, savoring it will also be a source of happiness.
After returning to school, which was at the beginning of June, I worked intermittently for a few days, wrote some graduation materials, enjoyed a few big meals, sang at KTV a few times, and now I am writing this summary. As for what happens next, we will talk about it in the next issue.
