It is now August 14, 2025, Thursday, but for me, it is not a working day. This summary is different from most of the previous ones, firstly because the writing location is different (this time it was completed in City H), and secondly because the author is not just me. To understand how I reached this point, we need to start from early July.
Specifically, from July 10 to 13, the school gradually filled with the restless atmosphere of the upcoming summer vacation, and I was somewhat influenced by this atmosphere, eagerly anticipating the arrival of summer break (this group atmosphere reminded me of the cognitive space in p5r). However, these days were not spent in agony because Bao reached out to me.
Although we are in a long-distance relationship, we still maintain the habit of seeing each other once every one or two months, which has kept our relationship from becoming distant due to the distance.
Those days happened to be a weekend, and I took a day off, enjoying three days of rest. This time not only allowed me to make rapid progress in my studies and procrastination skills during the extended holiday but also made our reunion more enjoyable.
It was the height of summer in City W, and the heat was unbearable. We spent an entire day at the water park, and we made ample preparations in advance, such as bringing swimming goggles, water shoes, and band-aids. In hindsight, all of this proved to be very successful and necessary, as it was our first time going to a water park together, making us feel like "max-level bosses in the novice village," and the experience was fantastic.
In the following days, I returned to my daily work. I could clearly feel the number of people on campus gradually decreasing, and the cafeteria during the vacation became a headache, but fortunately, this wouldn't last too long.
Finally, August arrived, and both Bao and I entered our vacation. We departed from City W, flew to City C, and then went to my hometown, City L, where I first met with my family and then had a small gathering with my closest friend, QY.
We tried some new things, and encouraged by Puppy (you could say coaxed), Bao tried hot dry noodles again. Well, under the condition of less sauce and more soup, I found that I could actually accept it, haha. We also went to see "The Legend of Luo Xiaohei 2" together. I met his relatives in City L, and although I felt a bit anxious and uneasy, we managed to meet smoothly. I originally thought I could meet everyone in one day, but it actually took three days to finish meeting everyone. The process was a bit torturous, but fortunately, Puppy was there to comfort me. I also met his good friend, and we went to eat pork rice cakes, tofu pudding, white meat, and the local specialty hot pot, which was simply delicious. All these tasty dishes made me want to come back for more!
We didn't stay at home for long; on August 6, we set off for City C, where we saw giant pandas, experienced the bustling city streets, and visited the ancient yet advanced Dujiangyan, and I bought a beautiful dress for Bao.
Then we officially began our travel journey in City C, seeing all kinds of adorable giant pandas and tasting the flower-flavored ice cream. After that, we went to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li. I had heard that there were many handsome guys here, but I didn't see many on that day, and I didn't see any falling leaves either, completely breaking my stereotype. The food in Chengdu, such as dan dan noodles, wontons, and skewers, was unexpectedly delicious! I will definitely come back for more! On the day we visited the world cultural heritage Dujiangyan, I wore a pretty little dress. The weather wasn't great, drizzling, but it was quite cool, probably thanks to that. Due to an exam, we took a high-speed train for a whole day, traveling from morning until night to City H. We were so impressive, like iron blocks, feeling like we could try "youth has no price, hard seats directly to Lhasa."
Like the traveling frog, we didn't stay too long in each city. On August 10, we left City C and arrived in City H, which took a whole day. Coming here was not just for fun; more importantly, Bao had an exam to attend, so the itinerary was somewhat impromptu, and the planned trip to City Z was canceled as a result.
As I often say, life is full of uncertainties, and every little episode during the trip brings different experiences. Yesterday (August 13), we had delicious Dai cuisine with an old friend, CR, in City H. The taste was excellent, and I accidentally ate a bit too much, finally falling into a deep sleep until the next day when I wrote this summary.
Beep beep beep, we had delicious Dai cuisine yesterday. Although I rarely see such a large setup, it quickly filled up with four or five dozen tables in seconds. Fortunately, we queued online in advance and got to eat quickly (so clever)! Because the food was so to my taste, one puppy directly ate a full bowl of rice, only realizing later that he had overeaten.
In a few days, I will return to work mode. August is already half over, and the process of switching from vacation mode back to work mode is undoubtedly tough, but I also look forward to a new beginning.
